The Southern Nevada Public Safety Complex is home to the Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP), the Las Vegas Area Computer Traffic System (LVACTS) and the Freeway and Arterial System of Transportation, Traffic Management Control (FAST TMC). This multi-function faculty encompasses a Communications Center and Southern Command Station as well as the Commercial and Traffic Enforcement and Vehicle Service Station. The Communications Center is organized around a 50-screen video monitor system for all freeway and surface intersections for the Las Vegas Valley that sends drivers information via mounted reader boards. The complex also serves as the unique command center for major city events and emergency situations.
