Fitting for a complete interior remodel of a thirty year-old standalone hospice facility with unique architectural characteristics, the design goal for the Nathan Adelson Hospice Swenson remodel project was to refresh and enhance the character of the existing facility while upgrading materials, technology and functionality throughout. The family lounge areas around which patient rooms are arranged have been enhanced and refurnished for a home-like feel. Existing wood ceilings, which had aged beyond recovery, have been carefully veneered for a look that recreates and respects a unique and warm atmosphere for the comfort of patients and visiting families.
