LVMPD Search and Rescue Hangar

LVMPD Search and Rescue Hangar

The LVMPD Search and Rescue Unit provides the community of Las Vegas the technical rescue services required for the harsh desert terrain in Clark County, Nevada. This new facility is located across from the North Las Vegas Airport and doubles the unit’s prior holding capacity for the various airplanes and helicopter storage. The main building, which provides the necessary office and training spaces, is constructed of exposed concrete block and the hangars built from pre-manufactured metal. Curved walls that emulate the flight path of a plane on takeoff provide the building a signature architectural element.
