The new main building at LVMPD’s Firearms Training Facility is designed to provide LVMPD’s officers the support they need to learn, train, maintain their equipment, and to manage operations at the existing 174-acre range. Featuring classrooms for education, an office with officer work spaces, and an equipment maintenance shop, the new main building is designed for streamlined functionality. Additionally, a new control tower overlooks the firing ranges. Security on site is improved by an upgraded entry and exit gate and associated site improvements. Construction materials and interior finishes are designed for acoustical properties, long-term durability and aesthetic harmony with the surrounding desert foothills.
