Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas Justice Center

Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas Justice Center

The Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas Justice Center brings together several critical community services in one facility: Courts, Police, Family Services, Child Support and Emergency Services. The Justice Center is designed as a community-centered justice facility, specifically defined by the following characteristics: welcoming and inviting, dignified yet open, conscious of its natural environment, and proud of tribal heritage. The facility offers a welcoming entry experience at the community-facing front façade, which features a porte-cochere covered entry, and continues the experience inwards to the public lobbies and courtroom, featuring elements of tribal identity included throughout. The facility is also designed for privacy and security, with screen walls and a gated rear parking area for staff, helping to manage public access and direct the public to the community facing entry points.
